Great link to pics of rural india.

Below is a great collection of pics from my friend Stephan, on his recent trip to India. Within 10 days, he captured more of India than I have in my lifetime. Shame on me. Maybe on my next visit to India, I'll act like a tourist, and snap up a couple of hundred pics. I'll ingore the derogatory remarks like 'arre, stop acting like a phirang dude'.

click on the link below for the pics.

This is probably the only Mall & Mandir combo in India. This pic was taken in Bangalore, on Stephan's recent trip to India. He had heard about the 'huge' statue of Shiva, that I initially had no clue about. It's behind the KidsKemp mall, and you have to walk through the mall, passing by the designer clothes section, before you get to the entrance of the mandir ( or mall exit). Another first for India!!!!

How many people in this jeep. About 40! A great pic to convince any automaker about the need for transportation in rural India.

Auto-rickshaw in Bangalore. This guy could'nt give us a ride as he was having engine problems. Yeah- looks like he knows how to fix it.

Our tour guide at the Mysore palace is to my extreme right. Jill, who was visiting along with Stephan is in the center.

We all look happy, quite understandable after drinking all that KingFisher beer.
